Philosophy

My biggest passion is for the development of young players. I believe that while it's important to win games and become better hockey players, we use hockey to teach teamwork, discipline, responsibility, EFFORT, commitment, confidence, leadership and most importantly consistency.

In order to develop individual skill, players must be passionate about their own development, all while playing hard for their teammates. I give every player the same opportunity to grow, however we all have different strengths. The goal is to get players to use their strengths to make the team stronger and instill confidence in the player.

School is a very big component of my philosophy and although developing to be a better hockey player is important you must be a student first. Players are always encouraged to talk to me about their studies. Hockey is not supposed to be stressful, but a competitive and fun environment.
