Introduction

Hello and welcome to the Nepean Wildcats Bantam A2 Tryouts! We are excited to be selected to coach this team for the 2018/19 season. Together we have many years of coaching experience coaching Girls, Boys and Spring teams, and both of us have played hockey our entire lives.
We are very cognizant of the time and effort needed to put into Coaching Competitive at this level and age. We also know the importance and impact a Coach has on their players and are fully committed to making it an enjoyable, fun, and safe environment, conducive to your daughter developing her individual and team skills over the year.

Philosophy

Our coaching philosophy at the Bantam Level will be to stress fun, team first mentality and building on the player’s fundamentals while introducing positional and team play. We also believe in a structured program which includes a strong effort at all team activities and up tempo, high intensity practices and off ice training.
We believe in Fair Ice time giving all players a chance to develop and treating each player as an individual. We expect a hard working group with a strong self-confidence but always showing a respect for teammates, opponents and team staff with overall sportsmanship.

Commitment

Player and family commitment is very important to the success of our program. You can expect to be on the ice or dryland 3-5 times a week. Aside from family and school, this team’s hockey commitment is expected to take priority over all other sports.
The financial commitment would be approximately $1900 with Fundraising involved to reduce fees or add extra practice ice.
