My name is Shannon McDougall and I am excited to be coaching the Nepean Wildcats Competitive Novice B team along with Mike Clark for the 2019-2020 season.
I grew up playing competitive hockey with the NGHA, went on to play on the Varsity Women’s Hockey Team at Western University, and continue to play competitively in the NCWHL. I have experience as a head coach in the NGHA, and I have also been the head coach for the St. Paul High School girls hockey team in years past. Through my career as a high school teacher I have 15 years of experience working with youth.
Mike and I are looking forward to working on skills development, character development, fostering a life-long love of hockey and most of all having fun.
My name is Mike Clark. I grew up in Stittsville. I played 5 years Canadian University hockey. My wife Kristin and I have 4 children, three of which play in the NGHA.
Shannon and I are thrilled to be co-coaches for the Nepean Wildcats Novice Competitive B team for the 2019-2020 season. This is such a fun and exciting year for the girls. It is their first taste of competitive hockey and we are very please to have an opportunity to be a part of it. It will be an interesting experience as a result of the introduction of half-ice 4-on-4 hockey. We both feel this will be a great experience that will benefit the girls. They will get lots of ice, lots of puck touches and learn to play in tight areas - a skill that will benefit them as they get older. This season there is no score, no standings, no provincials. We will show-up ready to work hard , compete and most importantly have fun.
