U15AA
Head Coach: Fred Barzyk
Biography:
Fred has been coaching competitive girls’ hockey for close to 10 years, with five years at the U15 AA and A levels. Fred is an excellent motivator with a strong focus on player development. He is patient, engaging and professional with players, parents and other hockey personnel, and is well-experienced in working with player expectations and addressing the many challenges that hockey presents. His own hockey experience includes playing U-Sports and Junior hockey in the Niagara area.
Fred’s coaching philosophy has two main principles - that players at this age and level need to develop and learn to be their best, and that players must get a positive and enjoyable experience from playing hockey. He firmly believes that the head coach is a role model for their players, whose responsibility it is to be a positive influence in their development both on and off the ice. In addition to teaching hockey skills, building character is key. Fred’s commitment to the players and to the team is 100%.
U18AA
Head Coach: Andrew McKay
Biography:
Andrew has been involved in minor hockey for the past 20 years. He has experience in both boys and girls hockey. Andrew has had the opportunity to coach kids from IP to High School ages. His most recent roles have been assistant and head coaching. Andrew is currently an assistant coach on the U18 Lady Sens U18AA team, and also supports on ice development at the AAA level. Working in the field of education for the past 15 years has also given him a great amount of experience in many other coaching roles.
Andrew played four years of Jr. A hockey in the CJHL (now CCHL) in the Ottawa area. He then moved on to play at the collegiate level in the NCAA for the College of the Holy Cross, in Worcester, Massachusetts. While at Holy Cross, Andrew graduated with a degree in Economics, and was part of the 1st ever Atlantic Hockey Championship team.
Andrew has always been very enthusiastic about sports and coaching, and the important role these two aspects play in kids' lives. He believes in a team-oriented approach to coaching. Andrew is very excited to lead a group of young hockey players in the upcoming season with the U18AA Wildcats!
U22AA
Head Coach: Eliot Spencer

We are pleased to welcome back U22AA Head Coach Eliot Spencer, and Assistant Coach Lyne Landry, and welcome to the team Chris Bones, who has been with the NGHA for the last three years as Head Coach of the U18AA team.
Join us in welcoming these coaches, and wishing them an amazing year of hockey. We are confident this team will inspire and guide our players to achieve their best in the upcoming season!
