As a Team Trainer, it's important that you familiarize yourself with all information found on the Player Safety portal and ensure you understand the Responsibilities of a Trainer.
There is mandatory training that must be completed prior to becoming a trainer. Information on those certifications can be found on the OWHA Trainers Resources & Programs page. To be eligible for reimbursement of the Hockey Trainers Certificate Program, you must be on an approved NGHA roster as a Trainer.
It is also important that at the beginning of the season all parents/guardians complete Medical Information Sheet and give this to you. Trainers must have hard copies of this for every player at all team events.
