Appointment of General Manager, Hockey Operations

The Nepean Girls Hockey Association is thrilled to announce the appointment of Bill Courchaine to the role of General Manager - Hockey Operations.

Bill first became involved with the NGHA as a member of our Advanced Development Program advisory committee. As General Manager of Hockey Operations, Bill will continue to work with the ADP program while also:

• providing guidance, support and resources to competitive coaches;
• assisting with player assessments for the ADP and feeder teams;
• participating in competitive coach selection;
• leading the recruitment and retention of women coaches, bench and skills staff;
• assisting with the creation of an association-wide coach hub; and
• take the lead on the development of a goaltending program for all goalies

Bill played post-secondary hockey at the College of Saint Scolastica, winning the National Championship twice and being named All-American goalie three times. This success led to an invitation to the Minnesota North Stars training camp. He was the General Manager of the Kanata Lady Sens from 2018-2021 and has over 12 years’ experience coaching at the U15AA, U18AA and PW levels. Bill has been a proud member/employee of the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club for the past 25 years.
